Gautier’s Bryson Hurst commits to Ole Miss on his birthday

Before today, Gautier football standout Bryson Hurst had his recruitment narrowed down to a top seven, but only one of those schools gets to celebrate his birthday with him.

Four minutes after turning 17 early this morning, the four-star left tackle committed to Ole Miss thus closing his recruitment just two days ahead of his senior season.

Hurst is picking the Rebels over Mississippi State, Auburn, Kentucky, Florida State, Oregon, and UCF, all part of his 15 division I offers.

He says he made up his mind last Tuesday after talking it over with his parents and Head Coach Lane Kiffin. “Well, we kind of talked about me coming up there and making an impact on the program and he kind of believed that I could strongly help them and pretty much after that I just fell in love with the place. Well, it means a lot to me. I don’t have to stress about committing or worrying about my recruitment and all that stuff. But I can focus on school and more on football now, now that I have that out of the way. Hotty Toddy!”
