Over this past weekend, Gautier High School students Demonte Taylor, Xavion Handord, Judah Fountain, and Darrell Wess competed in the MHSAA Boys Powerlifting State Championship.
Xavion Handford finished 2nd in the 198lb weight class setting multiple school records including a 600lb deadlift.
Judah Fountain finished 3rd in the 242lb weight class.
Darrell Wess finished 2nd in the 275lb weight class & set the school squat record to 650.
